You have done the research and you might have some questions about a variety of topics that you need to clarify before enrolling. For your convenience, here are the more common questions we are asked, along with concise answers.
Is Citizens’ High School accredited?
Can I use my diploma to attend college or gain employment?
Because of our national accreditation, our high school diploma is widely recognized by colleges and employers across the country. However, since the recognition of any diploma is determined by individual colleges and employers, not the high school, please check with the colleges or employers in which you are interested, to verify that they accept our nationally accredited diploma.
Can I transfer credits earned at Citizens’ High School to another High School?
Will previously earned credits transfer to Citizens’ High School?
Will homeschool credits transfer?
Do you offer a GED®?
No, we are a nationally accredited school offering a high school diploma. Not a GED.
Are all of the courses and programs completed online?
No. Our program is designed to allow for communication between the school and the student, and we believe in traditional educational values. All of our courses are built around high quality textbooks routinely used in resident high schools around the country. There is no need to go online to complete any course, though in some cases we encourage online research to enrich a student’s educational experience.
Can I work at my own pace?
Yes. Our curriculum is designed to allow you to progress at a pace that is right for you. You will have up to three years to complete courses required to complete the diploma program, and up to a year to complete courses taken in the individual course.
Are my courses really accessible anytime, anywhere?
Yes. Our courses are accessible to students anytime from anywhere, because our courses were built around high quality textbooks that are routinely used in resident high schools around the country. These textbooks were then converted for distance education study through the development of course study guides.
How long does it take to finish a program?
The time it takes to finish depends on the High School Diploma Program you choose, the number of credits to be completed, and the number of hours you are able to study each week. In other words, it’s partly up to you how fast you move through the program. You may set your own pace. Most full-time students complete each course in one to two months.

How involved do I need to be as a parent?
