Since 1984, Citizens’ High School has been Accredited by the Distance Education Accrediting Commission. The Accrediting Commission of the Distance Education Accrediting Commission is listed by the U.S. Department of Education as a nationally recognized accrediting agency.
Citizens’ High School offers an affordable homeschool curriculum for high school for homeschooling parents and adults returning to high school. Our mission is to provide an outstanding education, leading to an accredited high school diploma, to our students who range in age from young teenagers to senior citizens, and are from all walks of life. Their common purpose is to pursue their high school diploma at home, through traditional methods and textbooks, while studying at his or her own pace.
We pride ourselves on helping adult students who have been left behind by the public school system or that were not successful their first time around. Likewise, we work side-by-side with homeschooling parents, who need or want an extra measure of support, while allowing their children to earn an accredited high school diploma – without having to obey school calendars or take state standardized tests.
Our courses are built around the latest edition of public-school-accepted, high-quality textbooks from major educational publishers. These text books have been converted to independent study courses through the development of Study Guides that act as "teachers at home.” All of our programs can be completed entirely from the comfort of home, with no need to attend class online or in a classroom.
All our teachers are state-certified and experienced with serving distance education students. If you ever need help, they are available by phone or email. Student work and tests are graded by hand and returned quickly.
