2012 Graduate – Nicole Atkins
Miss Nicole Adkins from Fargo. She is new too. New to the high school graduate ranks, that is. Nicole struggled mightily to earn her diploma.
She tried regular public high school but found it too difficult. She moved frequently between parent’s homes. The move always required switching to a new school. Nicole fell so far behind her peers the idea of actually graduating seemed unattainable.
Miss Adkins found Citizens’ High School could bring the idea back into sharp focus. When Nicole reached out for help, she needed over two academic years of classes to earn a diploma. Citizens’ curriculum and staff helped her work through the moves, distractions, and keep a disciplined approach toward her studies. She earned that coveted diploma last March.
Equally impressive is Nicole’s younger brother is also a Citizens’ student. He saw firsthand the success Nicole experienced and decided it was right for him too.
Nicole is now enrolled with Minnesota State Community College. She is working toward a Registered Nursing degree. She is already working in the medical field, getting hands-on experience. After she earns her nursing license, she plans to continue her education. She is laser focused on becoming a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist.
We are completely confident in Nicole’s ability to achieve these goals. After all, we’ve seen her do it!
