2009 Graduate – Jasmine Gladden

Jasmine GladdenJasmine escaped a personal firestorm in high school up in South Carolina. She and her parents moved to Jacksonville for a better life. Jasmine did not want to re-enter a public high school in the middle of the year. Jasmine and her parents discussed the possibility and benefits of being a homeschooler. The researched their options and found that Citizens’ High School was a perfect match.

Jasmine struggled in public schools in South Carolina and did not want to repeat those challenges in Jacksonville. With the large class sizes and limited individual support, Jasmine had difficulty completing the assigned tasks. With her parent’s support, Jasmine completed nearly two full academic years of challenging curriculum in only 327 days. Awesome!

Jasmine has now moved back to South Carolina to attend Benedict College where she’s pursuing a degree in Culinary Arts. She told us that completing her high school curriculum and earning the diploma felt great. She also knew that she wanted more.

We are so very proud of her. We have all confidence that she will be a culinary artist in the near future. Watch out Emeril.

Jasmine Gladden is Citizens’ High School
“Graduate of the Month” for November 2009.
